The Town of Superior is located in southeast Boulder County, Colorado. Named for its “superior” quality of coal in the late 1800s, Superior was a quiet ranching and farming community through much of the 1900s.
With the development of a master-planned subdivision through the 1990s and construction of several prominent retailers and office projects, the community is now home to approximately 12,000 residents. Ranked 13th in CNNMoney.com’s list of America’s Best Small Towns, Superior has 817 acres of parks and green space and 28 miles of trails.

The SMC event provides sponsors access to a cross-section of cycling enthusiasts, health and wellness-related groups and a multitude of local attendees interested in sustainability. Successful brand awareness, recognition and marketing to over 20,000 people will make a huge impact on businesses and organizations in just one weekend.
The event marketing campaign consists of direct marketing, multiple media advertising, outdoor advertising, viral marketing, social media marketing, on-line marketing and a culmination of an entire weekend event.

To continue the Town of Superior's leadership position by minimizing the environmental impact while hosting a world-class festival and racing event.
To actively minimize the environmental impact of the event through conscious actions with partners and racers that will reduce waste, utilize renewable energy, conserve water and take advantage of alternative and mass transit systems. The event will bring awareness and education on environmental sustainability through promotion of technologies and programs available to the community, racers and guests in our Sustainability Pavilion.
We will deliver a successful event with a reduced environmental footprint and provide our guests with awareness and education on how they can minimize their environmental impact in both their personal and professional endeavors.
